Call for Proposals: LDPE Recovery

PAKPRO invites qualified organizations, recyclers, and service providers to submit proposals for the recovery and management of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) waste in Kenya.

This initiative supports the advancement of plastic circularity and the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) by strengthening systems for collection, aggregation, and recycling of LDPE materials.

Objective

To identify and engage capable partners to efficiently recover LDPE waste and channel it into sustainable recycling and reuse pathways, contributing to national circular economy goals.

Scope of Work

• Collection and aggregation of LDPE waste from designated locations
• Sorting and handling of materials in line with industry standards
• Transportation to accredited recycling facilities
• Provision of traceability systems and recovery data
• Compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements

Eligibility Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in waste management, recycling, or material recovery
• Operational and logistical capacity to manage LDPE waste streams
• Compliance with applicable environmental regulations
• Ability to provide consistent reporting and data tracking
